ROBOTIC KNEE REPLACEMENT?

During the procedure of knee replacement surgery, arthritic areas of the knee are replaced with an artificial joint that replaces the original surfaces. During robotic total knee replacement, the surgeon uses computed tomography (CT) scans to create a three-dimensional picture of the patient’s knee. With that virtual model as a guide, the surgeon then uses the robotic arm to make accurate bone cuts and insert the knee components precisely.

Patients will need to use a special computer to control their new knee This is not true-patients will be able to use their new knee just like a normal human knee. The only difference is that it will be more durable and require less maintenance.
