Research Projects:

• Participated in the Phase II study of “Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy with Cisplatin and Vinorelbine followed by Radical Concomitant Chemo-Radiotherapy in Locally Advanced Non small cell Lung Cancer” treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital under Dr Chris Nutting by reviewing and following up patients, preparing the proforma, entering the data and analyzing the interim results.
• Actively involved in the concept, design and writing of the protocol of a phase II study on the role of accelerated, concomitant tumor bed boost in patients with locally advanced breast cancer with Dr. Jalali as the Principal Investigator. This study is complete and has been publish ed.
• Initiated a study on “The detection of set-up variation in larger fields during RT delivery using portal imaging”
• Initiated preliminary work on protocol development for “Respiratory Gating” for Thoracic malignancies.
